The 1940s Tea Dress is one of the most sought-after styles in a vintage-lover’s wardrobe. This gorgeous dress true to the utility styles of WWII while being slightly updated to suit modern figures and sensibilities. I was inspired to make it by a photograph of my mother during the 40’s. You can see more about that in our blog.
This cute dress features cute piping detail and a button-through blouson top that’s slightly gathered at the waist and bust with gently padded shoulders, to give that authentic 1940s silhouette. The A-line skirt skims over your hips and arrives below the knee. She of course has pockets, a lovely design feature and a practical essential.
Perfect for afternoon teas or going out dancing or just to the office. Dress her up or down for any occasion with a stack of bangles or a bright belt.
As with all of our clothes, these gorgeous dresses are made right here in London.
